Chicken-Fried Steak Fingers & Cream Gravy

I was in the mood for something super easy, so dinner consisted of Chicken-Fried Steak. Or, for some, country-fried steak. Apparently, the difference is the type of gravy that you use. Whodathunkit??

Anyways, this is really easy to make and good for the soul. Also, this is in no way a healthy, carb-conscious meal by any means. I’m sure there are small changes that could make that happen but, well, sometimes, you just need some really good, yummy, Southern comfort food.

Bacon-Avocado Deviled Eggs (Spooky Eyes)

Are you a total procrastinator like me? Realized you have a party to throw either the same day or the next day and have no idea what to make? I mean, we all want to be a good host and great food pretty much guarantees that.

Well, look no further my dears, once you make this recipe, you’ll never want normal deviled eggs ever again. Since Halloween is right around the corner, these are the perfect centerpiece for the appetizer table and with only 6 total ingredients, you cannot go wrong.

Slow Cooker Barbacoa

Welcome to the first post for Foodie Friday!!!

I am in no way, shape or form a chef or a “cook” for that matter. I just love to cook and learn new things when it comes to food. My husband is a chef, as you may have seen from a previous post. So, these are just tried and true recipes that he has taught me, or that I have learned or created on my own that I wanted to share.

Today is Slow Cooker Barbacoa and if you are Mexican like me, this is an important staple in life. If you like Mexican food— like me— then this is also an important staple for your life. Get past what the first ingredient is and I promise, you will love it.
